Nostalgia, Community, Service

ChefAgain was created to reconnect former chefs and culinary professionals who may have stepped away from full-time kitchen work but haven’t lost their passion for food. Our mission is twofold.

First, to foster a vibrant, virtual community where members can share stories, exchange techniques and recipes, and advance the joy of their culinary roots.

Secondly for those interested, to channel that passion into action by addressing food insecurity in their local communities.

Rooted in nostalgia, driven by community, and inspired by service, ChefAgain is where culinary experience meets meaningful impact.

Everybody Eats

Chefs are innate givers and we are fiercely organized. Let’s leverage our unique skills.

Food security is more important today than ever. For those that want to make a difference locally, the ChefAgain community provides inspiration, encouragement and ideas. When we eat, they eat.

Haight Ashbury Food Program

The Haight Ashbury Food Program was founded in 1983 as a neighborhood response to hunger. They exist to provide food and referral services to those in need while fostering a sense of belonging and self worth for all involved. They operate a food pantry every Saturday fueled by generous food and monetary donations.

SF-Marin Food Bank

Before the pandemic, one in five neighbors was at risk of hunger. Now, we know the need is even greater. The SFMarin Food Bank addresses hunger head-on – from their food pantry network and home-delivered groceries. Every week, over 53,000 households count on them for food assistance.
